off details that are easily fact checked

small details like ordering pancakes and french toast at a wafflehouse that should have been caught and corrected. it just throws off the story. other than that good story line.

Griffin Powell

Love the Griffin Powell series. Beverly Barton is a fantastic writer. Looking forward to another I have read 8 of the Powell series the characters are wonderful

City pronunciation is a problem

she ruined it for me when she couldn't pronounce mobile and baton rouge. but the storyline is good.

Story line is great

The story line is great. I think in some places, less is more. If the killing scenes and sex scenes were intimated rather than so graphic, it would be more appealing.

The narrator’s voice detracts from the book. Her mispronunciation of words and inflections are inaccurate and irritating. She sounds as if she has a cold

Mispronunciation of words

Alabama girl didn’t like mispronunciation of Mobile. It’s pronounced Mo-Bee-l not Mob-aisle

Smut

The writing style was fine. The story line was interesting but the smut increases as the book progresses. I didn’t finish it. I won’t choose this author again

Good story BAD narrator

Claire Duncan is absolutely awful to listen too. Weird breathy nasally voice and extremely bad at knowing where emphasis should be
